The Army Bomb Squad was called in to deal with a suspicious device found in undergrowth in south Dublin this morning.

The Army Bomb Squad was called in to deal with a suspicious device found in undergrowth in south Dublin this morning.

The army's ordnance disposal team arrived on the scene in Rathfarnham at 10.30am, after local workers found the device near a residential area and a creche.

The device was removed for testing.

An area near Grange Manor in Rathfarnham was cordoned off, but the scene was declared safe at 11.10am.
