Man charged in connection with ATM theft, Gardaí recover lorry driven at PSNI officer
A man in his twenties has been charged at Monaghan District Court in relation to the theft of an ATM in Newry, County Down, yesterday.
He was remanded in custody and is due before court again on November 11.
Meanwhile, Gardaí have recovered the lorry used in the attempted murder of a PSNI officer investigating the ATM theft.
The lowloader was driven at speed towards an police officer, causing him serious head injuries.
He is now in a stable condition in hospital.
