Post-mortem of 70-year-old found dead in Galway to be carried out today
A post-mortem will be carried out today on a body found in a crashed car on the outskirts of Galway City.
Gardaà believe the man, who was in his 70s, died after he ploughed into trees on the Martin Roundabout on the N6.
He was spotted by a member of the public yesterday afternoon, but it is not known how long he had been there.
Technical experts examined the scene last night and foul play appears to have been ruled out.
Today's post-mortem will take place at Galway University Hospital and detectives have issued an appeal for witnesses.
