An investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed on Dublin's Parnell Street yesterday.

An investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed on Dublin's Parnell Street yesterday.

The 25-year-old received serious injuries to his face during the incident at around 4pm yesterday.

He made his way to Temple Street Children's Hospital and was transferred by ambulance shortly afterwards to the Mater Hospital.

His injuries are described as non-life threatening.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Parnell Square North between the 3.50pm and 4.10pm yesterday to contact them at Mountjoy Station.
