Update at 8.30pm: Dublin Fire Brigade says stones were thrown at its members as they attended the scene of a blaze tonight.

Update at 8.30pm: Dublin Fire Brigade says stones were thrown at its members as they attended the scene of a blaze tonight.

No-one suffered any injuries in the fire, or the throwing of stones, however Dublin Fire Brigade says it has reported the incident to Gardaí.

Dublin Fire Brigade is attending a substantial bonfire off James Street.

Three units have been sent to deal with the blaze.

It is understood the fire has caused disruption to red line LUAS services.

LUAS says trams are currently only operating from the Point to Heuston and from Blackhorse to Tallaght or Saggart.
