Nurses at St Vincent's suspend industrial action
Nurses at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin have agreed to suspend industrial action while they engage in talks with management.
Staff in the emergency department will resume their regular duties from 8am this morning.
For the last eight days, INMO members in the A&E have been involved in a work-to-rule, refusing to carry out any tasks that did not involve direct contact with patients.
They claim extra admin work and overcrowding have been stopping them giving proper care.
However, in a statement issued late last night the INMO said if both sides attend the talks at the Workplace Relations Commission, improvements can be reached.
