Gardaí investigate after teenager dies in workplace accident in Cork

A teenager has died in a workplace accident in Co Cork.

Gardaí say it happened in a factory at Duniskey in Lissarda shortly before 11am.

Local reports suggest the 19-year-old may have been hit by a falling steel girder.

His body has been taken to Cork University Hospital for a post mortem.

Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority have launched separate investigations.
