Wet bank holiday expected as Met Éireann issues rainfall warning

If you are making plans for the last bank holiday of the year then don’t expect dry weather.

Met Éireann has issued a rainfall warning for Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford.

There will be rain in most parts of the country with accumulations of 25mm to 45mm forecast.

Met Éireann is also warning of strong winds on southern and eastern coasts.

The status yellow weather alert will stay in place until midnight.
