Man remains in custody in connect with Roscrea drugs seizure

One man remains in custody after a drugs seizure in Co Tipperary.

Gardaí searched a house in Roscrea on Thursday and uncovered 400 cannabis plants.

The find is estimated to be worth €320,000.

A man was detained and is being questioned at Nenagh Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.

In a statement Gardaí have emphasised the devastating impact of drugs in communities around the country.
