VIDEO: Taoiseach gets stuck in lift at opening of new Kerry Group centre
The Taoiseach Enda Kenny’s visit to the new Kerry Group centre in Co Kildare did not go according to plan after he got stuck in a lift.
Kenny, who was joined by the Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney and Minister for the Diaspora Jimmy Deenihan in the elevator, was trapped for 10 minutes before he and his Cabinet colleagues were freed.
Diaspora Minister Jimmy Deenihan has taken the experience in his stride describing the lift as a "good meeting room" and "intimate".
Newstalk reporter Richard Chambers was on hand to witness the incident and tweeted pictures and video throughout.
