Members of the Dublin Fire Brigade have rescued two people from the River Liffey in Dublin City.

Members of the Dublin Fire Brigade have rescued two people from the River Liffey in Dublin City.

The incident happened at around 8.30pm when two people were spotted in the water near the Ha'penny bridge.

Four units of the fire brigade attended the scene and the two people were pulled from the water,

The pair are currently being treated in St James's Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
