Teenager critically ill after fall from balcony in Galway

Gardaí are investigating after a teenager was left critically ill after falling from a balcony in Galway city last night.

The 19-year-old fell from a third floor apartment balcony on the Headford Road shortly before 11.30pm.

He is believed to be from county Kerry and a first year student of NUIG.

He was rushed to University Hospital before being transferred to Beaumont in Dublin.
