Man due before Galway court after arrest in connection with Wales death

A man is due to appear in court in Galway this morning after he was arrested in connection with a homicide investigation in the UK.
Forthy-year-old David Ellis is wanted by Welsh police, who are expected to seek his extradition.
He is wanted for questioning in the UK in connection with the murder of his landlord 59-year-old retired telecoms engineer Alec Warburton, who went missing from his home in the town of Sketty on July 31.
Mr Ellis was seen boarding a ferry from Birkenhead to Belfast on August 5.
He was detained in Galway yesterday evening and is due before a special sitting of the District Court there this morning.
