Eircom services stable for those impacted by outage

Eircom has issued a second statement this evening regarding the outage today, which affected its network.

Mobile and landline services for some businesses went down after 10 am this morning.

The statement read: "Eircom confirms that services are now stable for customers impacted by today’s outage.

"The root cause of the incident, which impacted approximately 5% of our daily call volumes, is currently being investigated.

"The outage resulted in intermittent service that impacted businesses which use 1800 and 1500 numbers, as well as some mobile numbers.

"Calls to 999 and 112 were not been impacted and Eircom apologises for any inconvenience caused to our customers."
