Coastguard helicopter rescues swimmer off Wexford coast

A man has been rescued from the sea off Co Wexford by a Coastguard helicopter.

It is understood he had been swimming off Ballyconnigar Beach when he got into difficulty in strong currents.

Lifeboats were launched along with the rescue helicopter from Waterford.

He was taken to Wexford General Hospital where his condition is believed to be stable.
