Investigation into fisherman's death

A Garda investigation is underway following the death of a fisherman in hospital after he was overcome by fumes on a trawler in Killybegs in Co Donegal yesterday.

The 27-year-old man was from Co Galway and was cleaning tanks in a refrigeration unit when the incident happened.

A second fisherman, who is from the Philippines, was also overcome by fumes when he tried to help him - he remains in a critical condition at Letterkenny General Hospital.
