Woman arrested by gardaí investigating fatal shooting in Athy

A woman aged in her 30s has been arrested by Gardaí investigating last Friday's fatal shooting in Athy, Co Kildare.

She was arrested yesterday afternoon in Athy and is currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Newbridge Garda Station.

Gardaí are continuing to detain two men, aged in their 40s and teens respectively, at Kildare and Naas Garda Stations as part of the investigation.

The third male arrested (also aged in his teens) was released without charge from Leixlip Garda Station last night.

The investigation is continuing.
