One killed, two injured, as car leaves road in Donegal

A 19-year-old teenager has been killed in a road accident in Co Donegal.

The male passenger was killed when the car he was travelling in left the road at Tooban, Burnfoot, at around 4.30am this morning.

The man driving the car and a female passenger, both aged 19, were both injured and taken to Letterkenny General Hospital where the female passenger is in a serious condition.

There were no ther cars involved in the accident.

Gardaí in Buncrana have preserved the scene for Garda Forensic Investigators, and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnessess or anyone who was travelling on the main Buncrana to Derry Road, or in the vicinity of Tooban to contact them at Buncrana Garda Station on 074 - 9320540, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
