US court sides with Irish aunt and husband as Corbett children case is dismissed

A judge in North Carolina in the US has paved the way for Jason Corbett's two children to be brought home to Ireland.

Judge April Wood has dismissed the case of Molly Martens, the children's step mother, who was seeking custody of Jack, ten, and eight-year-old Sarah.

The ruling will allow for the children to be cared for in Ireland by Jason Corbett's sister Tracey Lynch and her husband David.

The Limerick man died in a domestic incident earlier this month and police say they are not looking for anyone outside the home in relation to his death.
