Young Irish man dies in Tanzania

A young Irish man has died in Tanzania.

The man, from Portmarnock in North Dublin, died in the East African archipelago of Zanzibar, Tanzania.

The Irish Independent reports the man died after a fall, following an evening at a nightclub. He was travelling with friends at the time of the tragedy.

A spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs was unable to confirm details of the incident, but said the Department was providing consular assistance to the family in Portmarnock.
