Friends and family of a Limerick man killed in the US have launched an appeal for financial help, as they attempt to bring his children home.
Limerick man Jason Corbett was killed in a domestic incident in North Carolina where he was living with his second wife.
But his family are concerned that his two children Jack and Sarah are currently being cared for by their stepmother's family.
The children who are the subject of a custody hearing on Friday.
Family friend Mary Fitzpatrick has opened a bank account for those who wish to help out with the cost of the court case.
"We're appealing to people's hearts. Please, please if you could reach in, and if it's only €5 or €10, we're going to receive it very gratefully and it will go a long way to supporting this family.," said Mrs Fitzpatrick.
