Young woman found dead in caravan

Gardaí in Co Roscommon are investigating the sudden death of a woman in her 20s.

She was found unresponsive in a caravan at Dromod, a number of miles from Loughglynn at 6am this morning.

Gardaí and the ambulance service attended, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body was removed to University Hospital Galway where a post mortem will be carried out this evening.

The results of the post mortem will determine the course of the garda investigation.
