Man in serious condition following Kildare road collision

A man is in a serious condition following a single vehicle crash in Co. Kildare.

It happened on the the Athy to Courtown Rd at around 10pm last night.

Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to Portlaoise General Hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The road is closed at Cardington Bridge while Gardai carry out a forensic investigation.
