Man appears in court after bottle attack on tourist in Dublin

A man has appeared in court charged over an alleged attack on a tourist on Dublin's O'Connell Street at the weekend.

Gardaí say the 46-year-old man was waiting to board a tourist bus at around 9pm on Saturday night, when a man became aggressive towards him.

The victim was attacked with a glass bottle and suffered a wound to his head.

A 20-year-old man was later arrested and taken to Store Street Garda station for questioning.

The suspect appeared in Dublin District Court yesterday charged in connection with the incident.
