Concern mounts over Tunisia

Concern is mounting about a possible terror attack in Tunisia.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has said that it is urgently reviewing its travel advice for the country tonight.

It comes after the UK urged all British Citizens in Tunisia to leave as soon as possible and two tour operators have decided to pull their staff from there.

The warning comes almost two weeks after the Sousse beach attack, which killed three Irish citizens and 35 others.

Security Analyst Declan Power says the situation in North Africa is extremely volatile.

"My assessment of the situation in the Middle East, and in Tunisia in particular, is that it is very volatile," said Mr Power.

"People who have no direct business going there, and even those that have, should be reviewing their situation, regardless of the recent travel advisory issued by the UK, I think any westerner going there at the moment is subjecting themselves to risk, and they should not go."
