Woman dies in Galway car crash

A woman in her 50s has died in a crash in Co Galway.

It happened on N6 Oranmore to Craughwell Road at around 4.20pm today.

The car she was driving collided with another vehicle approximately 3km from Craughwell.

The three occupants of the other car were taken to University Hospital Galway with non life threatening injuries.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a Garda Forensic Collision Investigation.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them.
