A transatlantic flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, due to a fire in the cargo hold.

The Aeromexico Boeing Dreamliner was flying from Mexico City to Paris, but declared an emergency at about 2.30pm, and diverted to Shannon.
