Survey finds €750 is the average spend on First Communion

Families spend an average of around €750 of First Holy Communions.

Ulster Bank, which conducted the survey, said most of the money is spent on food and celebrations.

Around €175 euro is spent on the child's outfit, while the amount of money children receive as a gift is down 8% to €543.
