Man in critical condition following assault in Donegal

A 46-year-old man is in a critical condition in Sligo Regional Hospital following an assault in Donegal overnight.

The attack happened at a house on the Tullan Strand Road in Bundoran at around 1am.

A 19-year-old man was arrested close-by for public order offences and taken to Ballyshannon Garda Station.

He has since been released and the house is currently cordoned off for a Garda Forensic Examination.
