Lansdowne Road pay deal endorsed by teachers union

The union representing primary school teachers is recommending that its members accept the new Lansdowne Road pay deal.

The deal will see most civil servants receive around €2,000 over the next two years.

The INTO has said that it is now time to begin restoring cutbacks put in place during the recession.

IMPACT is also recommending that its members vote to accept the deal, however the Teachers Union of Ireland is asking its members to reject it.
