If you live in an area where there is excessive noise from traffic, aircraft or trains you could be more at risk of becoming obese.

Swedish research has found that those who suffer noise pollution can have their sleep adversely affected.

That could make you less willing to exercise and, therefore, more likely to become overweight.

A further effect of stress can be the release of stress hormones, including cortisol. And one effect of cortisol is an accumulation of fats around the waist.
