A woman has been airlifted to hospital in Cork after suffering head and back injuries in a fall on Ireland's highest mountain this afternoon.

The woman in her 50s fell on the higher reaches of O'Shea's gully around 3pm as she and her climbing party were making their way down Carrauntwohil in Co Kerry.
