Gardaí appeal for witnesses after hay shed fire in Athy

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a hay shed fire in Athy in Co Kildare.

The fire started at around 3.30am yesterday in Irishtown, and was brought under control at around 11am.

A considerable amount of machinery was damaged during the blaze and the hay barn was destroyed.

Witnesses are asked to contact Athy Garda Station.
