Dukes: Siteserv sale was in best interests of State

The former chairman of IBRC Alan Dukes has rejected suggestions that there was any impropriety in the sale of Siteserv by the bank in March 2012.

It follows calls for an independent inquiry into how the former Anglo Irish Bank managed the sale of some companies.

Mr Dukes says all aspects of the sale were considered in detail by the board and the final decision was considered to be in the interests of the State.
