Kenny says report into Callinan resignation may come after election

Enda Kenny has said he can't guarantee that a report on the resignation of former Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan will have been published before the next election.

The Taoiseach has said he will publish the report being compiled by former Supreme Court judge Nial Fennelly.

However, he is insisted that Justice Fennelly can't be rushed and the election may take place before his report is released.

He has told the Dáil that he simply can't give any guarantees about how long the judge will take to finish the report.
