Police in Derry have come under attack from youths throwing missiles as they responded to a call.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said it had received reports of between 30 and 40 youths pouring petrol on the street and setting it on fire in the Leafair Gardens and Glencaw Park areas of Derry at 10.30pm yesterday. Officers “came under fire from the youths throwing missiles such as bricks and bottles at police vehicles”.
