Three men remain in Garda custody this morning following two separate drugs and firearm seizures in Dublin and Carlow yesterday.

Three men remain in Garda custody this morning following two separate drugs and firearm seizures in Dublin and Carlow yesterday.

The arrests were made in Ballyfermot and Graigecullen.

At about 11am yesterday Gardaí conducted a planned search of a property in Graiguecullen in Carlow.

They uncovered Pentedrone, with an estimated value of €20,000, a gun and ammunition.

A 49-year-old man was arrested at scene and is currently detained at Carlow Garda Station.

In a separate operation in Dublin Gardaí seized €500,000 worth of cocaine.

The discovery was made during the search of a vehicle in Ballyfermot yesterday afternoon and a follow up search of a premises in the Dublin 20 area was carried out

Two men - aged 34 and 55 - were arrested in connection with the find and are currently detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
