Boy, 11, dead after Fermanagh collision

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after an 11-year-old boy died from injuries sustained in a car crash.

The youngster was a passenger in a car that was involved in a collision with a van on the Lough Shore Road in Enniskillen at around 1pm on Wednesday.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed he has since died from his injuries.

Inspector Keith Hicks has asked for any eye-witnesses to the crash to come forward.

“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed this collision or anyone who saw either the blue Audi A3 or white Peugeot van travelling on the Lough Shore Road prior to the collision to contact investigators by calling 101,” he said.
