Antrim police investigate serious assault involving baseball bats

Police in the North are investigating a serious assault on two men in Co Antrim.

It happened in the Linn Road area of Larne at around 2.05pm this afternoon, when it was reported that two men had been assaulted by a number of unknown men with baseball bats and a hatchet.

The two men have been taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
