Cork gardaí investigate claims boy with special needs forced to expose himself

Gardaí say they are aware of an alleged incident in which a boy was force-fed twigs and forced to expose himself.

It is also alleged video footage of the incident was posted online for a time.

Local Councillor John A Collins knows the boy, and what happened him is unacceptable.

"It's an appalling thing to happen to anybody, but certainly to a young guy, who's not in the position to, probably not being able to defend himself, or to be able to stand up for himself," he said.

"But it's something that's an appalling thing to happen and it shouldn't be tolerated in any society."
