Man dies in Cork city car crash

A man has died after his car crashed through a railing and landed on another car in Cork City this evening.

Emergency Services rushed to the scene at The Glen on the north side of the city and removed the man to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8.55pm.

No other injuries were reported. The parked car involved in the accident was empty at the time.

The area remains sealed off pending a full technical examination tomorrow morning.
