A post mortem examination is due to be carried out today on the body of a man found in a field in Co Kildare yesterday.
The remains of the man were found in at Cornamucklagh in Broadford shortly before 3.30pm yesterday afternoon.
The body was removed to the mortuary at Naas General Hospital last night.
The scene remained sealed off overnight as a technical examination was carried out.
The body is believed to be that of a missing man who had been living in the area for some time, though the family have yet to confirm so.
The area in which the body was found is very remote with only one or two homes situated along narrow country roads.
Forensic teams are sweeping the area.
