O'Donnell's daughter: 'We believe that we are right' to resist repossession
Brian O'Donnell's daughter says the banks have "picked the wrong people" in the legal battle over their former Dublin home.
Blaise and Blake O'Donnell have been speaking about the ongoing case which has seen their parents stay inside Gorse Hill in Killiney, South Dublin, with the support of the Land League, despite a court order directing it could be repossessed.
The brother and sister believe their plight has "done a lot of good" because the spotlight is now on the wider issue of repossessions around the country.
Blaise said, despite how things have developed, they are determined to stand their ground.
She said: "It's awful and I understand that people aren't going to be too sympathetic, we're just trying to do our best, put one foot in front of the other.
"The bank want us to walk away quietly with our head hung low and lurk out the back door.
"I'm sorry, but we don’t believe that we are wrong, we believe that we are right and we're bringing these cases forward and unfortunately they have picked the wrong people."
