SF to confirm abortion stance at Ard Fheis
Sinn Féin will adopt a stance on abortion at its Ard Fheis today.
Last night the party voted not to go into any coalition led by Fine Gael or Fianna Fáil after the general election.
On the abortion issue, Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness has said he is in favour of allowing terminations in cases of fatal foetal abnormalities.
"This represents a real challenge to all of us to be compassionate," he said.
"Where people have gone through very traumatic experiences in their lives, political parties have a duty and a responsibility to deal with those situations."
