Joan Burton's car blocked leaving event in Dublin

Tánaiste Joan Burton had her car blocked from leaving an event in Dublin this afternoon.
The Tánaiste has been attending an event in Fonthill, Clondalkin. While leaving, a small group of water charge protesters briefly blocked her vehicle, chanting "no way, we won't pay".

Gardaí encouraged movement of the protesters as a queue of vehicles formed behind the Tánaiste's car, but the protest passed off peacefully.
It took place at about 11.45am and lasted approximately 30 minutes.
A previous attempt to block the Tánaiste's vehicle in Jobstown last November was the subject of much controversy, after she was trapped in her vehicle for more than two hours.
Burton was attending the Musgrave facility in Fontill for a "Feeding Ireland’s Future Skills for Work Week" event, which is targeting youth unemployment.
