Four arrested in connection with unlawful money lending in Clare

Four people have been charged in connection with an investigation into unlawful money lending in Co Clare.

The arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into unlicensed money lending in Kilrush.

A number of people were previously arrested a part of the same investigation in December 2013 following a number of complaints.

Two men and two women aged in their 20s and 30s were charged this morning and are due before Ennis District Court.
