Dublin Convention Centre holding careers fair featuring thousands of jobs

Up to 10,000 jobseekers will be converging on the Convention Centre in Dublin today for a careers fair.

Career Zoo are running the free one-day networking event which will feature employers such as Bank of Ireland, Liberty IT and Symantec.

Today's fair will be paperless, with delegates being given a 'smart badge' allowing them to exchange their CVs with employer profiles.

Jackie Slattery, the Director of Career Zoo, said: "The majority of the jobs would be in areas that are experiencing growth at the moment, which would be IT, the Life Sciences and also Finance.

"But you would also have some support roles there as well like Sales and Marketing while multi-lingual is a big area as well.

"There are literally thousands of jobs here and they are all professional, full-time jobs and they are all based in Ireland."
