Teenager boy dies in Wexford crash

A 14-year-old boy has died following a traffic collision at Oulart in Co Wexford.

The collision involving a car and a tractor happened at Ballytarsna on the Oulart to Blackwater road shortly before 7pm this evening.

The driver of the car, a 36-year-old woman and the 14-year-old boy were injured and taken to Wexford General Hospital.

The boy was later pronounced dead. The woman's condition is described as not life threatening.

The driver of the tractor was also uninjured.

The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination and diversions are in place.

Witnesses are asked to contact Enniscorthy Garda station.
