Labour Relations talks this afternoon on nursing dispute at hospital in Drogheda
The Labour Relations Commission is chairing talks between management at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and nursing unions at 2.30pm this afternoon.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has said 24 additional beds have been promised at the Drogheda hospital, but have not been delivered.
Yesterday the hospital saw the highest level of overcrowding in the country, with 40 patients on trolleys in the ED, 10 on trolleys in wards and a further 13 in the medical assessment unit.
