A Meath resident who stars in a TV programme about prisoners and their families has avoided a jail term for a raid and an attempted raid over two years ago.

Dermot Molloy (aged 36) of Lagour Crescent, Dunshaughlin, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to robbery and attempted robbery both on Dublin’s Capel Street on July 6 and July 7, 2012.
